Insight Travel is based on the ancient view of pilgrimage as a transformative experience. Since we began organizing journeys to Asia in 1987, we have found that when people travel together with an open mind and a common spiritual focus they are able to grow and change in surprising ways.

An Insight Travel pilgrimage combines travel with inquiry and meditation to allow a deeper and more personal experience of the temples, villages, and archaeological remains that mark key points of Asian culture. Our expeditions are enriched by meetings with traditional teachers, as well as daily meditation and a series of discussions led by experienced group leaders. These elements combine with the impact of travelling in Asia to create an environment that challenges participants to fundamentally reconsider their sense of the possible.
